This Sunday (9th March) I woke up to find the site was down with alerts from Binary Canary, Pingdom etc telling me the same. No updates were done on the site, the droplet and site just died.
I checked the graphs within the DO Control Panel for CPU spikes, which there was none and Power Cycled the Droplet from the Control Panel but it would not come back up.
I emailed support who tried booting this Droplet in their rescue environment, which failed. They told me they were escalating this to their Engineering team to investigate further. This was yesterday at 12:43PM I have emailed them since 3 times to find out what steps they are taking and that time span this would take BUT all further emails have been ignored.
The site has now been down for over 31 hours with no further contact from Digital Ocean! this is BAD support and I expected better from a host like Digital Ocean.
