Please be advised that pricing will be increasing on your BurstNET Windows VPS service(s) as of your next upcoming renewal date. This small increase is necessary due to BurstNET’s associated expenses rising to continue providing this service to you. These increased costs include 2014 price increases from Microsoft on Windows licensing, as well as power costs rising from our utility provider. The price increase from Microsoft was significant, and just too much for us to fully absorb, as we typically have done in the past. This price increase, although modest, still keeps BurstNET in a market leading position as it relates to competitive pricing. BurstNET still offers the most competitive pricing and packages for this service in the industry, still typically 50% or more below our competitors.

The associated price increases are as follows:

Windows VPS #1 – $7.95 to $9.95 (per month) – Specs: 1GHZ CPU, 512MB RAM, 20GB RAID HD, 1TB BANDWIDTH

Windows VPS #2 – $12.95 to $14.95 (per month)- Specs: 1.5GHZ CPU, 1GB RAM, 50GB RAID HD, 1TB BANDWIDTH

Windows VPS #3 – $24.95 to $29.95 (per month) – Specs: 2GHZ CPU, 1.5GB RAM, 100GB RAID HD, 2TB BANDWIDTH

We thank you for your understanding, and your continuing to remain a valuable BurstNET client.

What do you think of this (approx. 20%) price raise? Microsoft is cutting the license prices on mobile equipment and raising on servers? Not a good move.
