cheap dedicated for startup shared hosting? is it useful?

Big on Hosting. Unlimited Space & Unlimited Bandwidth

I am newbie about dedicated servers and shared hosting, I am thinking what server I could rent if I want to begin with offering shared hosting?
maybe this topic should be moved to dedicated servers… but I think it is more connected with shared hosting.

for example, if I rent next server how many users I can have on it without to overload server? If I know that, I can count how much I can profit.
can I have 150 users, each one with 1GB hosting package?

Processor: VIA1x VIA® Nano® U2250 (1 core @1.6 GHz, x64, VT)
HDD: 160 GB
bandwidth 150 Mbit/s

here is another one, of course, little more expensive, I could accommodate 230 users:
CPU: Intel Sandy Bridge G530 (2 cores)
RAM: 4 GB DDR3 Memory
HD: 250 GB Hard Drive
BW: 100 Mbps Unmetered*
2 IP address

for the same money I could rent and:
AMD Dual Opteron 2216
4 Cores / 4 Threads
2.4Ghz – 2 Processors
5 usable IPv4 Address

so, what should I look for shared hosting, more RAM or better processor? for me, more memory is cheaper than better procesor. but can I have 150 users at 2GB RAM and 1 core processor?
