We want:
* 3-5 accounts and 5-10 aliases/forwarders for under $60/year
* Reliable service
* Strict enforcement of anti-spam policies so the server doesn’t constantly get blacklisted
* 24/7 support would be nice, but isn’t a necessity
* Just basic POP/IMAP/SMTP would be sufficient, we don’t need Exchange or a calendar or anything fancy
We do NOT want:
* Email on a server that is also used for web-hosting
* Google Apps
* GoDaddy (they’re the provider we’re switching away from)
We’re looking into:
* Rackspace (unfortunately above our price-range — 3-5 inboxes at $2/inbox would be $72-$120/year)
* NameCheap (in our price-range, mostly has good reviews)
* Hover (in our price-range, reviews seem a bit more questionable)
* Dotster (in our price-range, reviews don’t seem very good)
* 1and1 (in our price-range, lots of bad reviews, but mostly about domain registration which is a service we wouldn’t be getting from them)
Anyone got any suggestions to add to the list?
Also, most of the reviews I’ve been able to find pertain to hosting/domain registration/etc. offered by the above companies, not specifically their email service. So if anyone has any experience with them and can comment specifically on the quality of their email service, I’d love to hear about it!
