Well I am creating a script that will likely to use caching to speed up the script execution. Although I run a dedicated server myself, the script will be used by my client users who are mostly running their sites on free/shared webhosts. For this reason, I wont assume that all users have access to PECL extensions, let alone installing any of them.
So my question is, are there webhosts that enable either APC or Memcache by default in their PHP-Apache server? Both APC and Memcache are PECL extensions not bundled with PHP, so Id assume most webhosts do not have them. However, using these extensions can speed up script dramatically, so Id definitely love to have a list of webhosts that enable PHP caching extensions. Id recommend them to customers of my script in this case. Thx.
