So I am a bit lost and I hope someone can help me out.
Initially I was looking for a powerful median to be able to deliver our videos to end-users. We are launching an automotive website that will have ALOT of car related videos some expected to reach hundreds of thousands of views pretty fast.
I googled and came here alot and figured out that we need to go with a CDN. However, now it seems like a CDN is too much to start with money wise. I was redirected to WOWZA thinking it’s like a cloud service and it turns out to be a software that pushes your content — excuse my hosting-development-noobness.
So here is where I am at now, and correct me if I’m wrong. I need to use a service like WOWZA to install it on my server (whether CDN or DEDICATED or CLOUD) and push videos to end users right? For a fresh website, do you recommend I go Dedicated first and then cloud or what? CDN is too expensive.
One more question gurus, we need to have preroll ads on our videos, how can we manage those and track them?
