I recently left myhosting because the service and support were utterly dreadful. In fact, I could write a book’s worth about how dreadful they were, but I don’t want to waste time and bandwidth.
They kept breaking my photo-gallery and the outages were frequent and lengthy.
So I started using PingdomAlert and discovered that I was getting outages every day! (The ********!!)
I wanted to get REAL info on a decent host, because the web is riddled with all these crappy, fake “top ten best hosts” sites.
Careful browsing in here revealed EuroVPS to be a candidate, so I tried them.
The main thing for me was to get my photo-gallery fixed and running, but it’s *Gallery 3, and I am technically deficient in the extreme
*(Gallery 3 is great if you are a technical GENIUS. But if you know jack about technical stuff, it’s a nightmare!!)
Very fortunately, EuroVPS support staff very, very patiently fixed it, despite the fact they were under no obligation to do so. (It’s thrid-party software and not their responsibility.)
My gallery has been a lot of work over two years, garnering 140,000 hits along the way, so it was real heartache to consider the thing might be dead forever
Of course, it’s too early to say how good EuroVPS is, cos I’ve only been with them for about a week.
But so far, the support team has been nothing but excellent
Most of you probably know this already, but myhosting is unbelievably bad, and should be avoided like the plague!
Viva EuroVPS, say I
