I need a host which provides the ffmpeg tool reliably

Big on Hosting. Unlimited Space & Unlimited Bandwidth

Hello everyone, this is my first post here!

Over a year ago, I made a website on which users can upload audio, video and images, which are converted to the required formats on the server using the ffmpeg and ImageMagick tools.

It’s all gone nicely, I got paid and still do occasional odd bits of maintenance and new features.

But the webhost company I chose (Imageleet) seem incapable of providing the ffmpeg tool reliably. Thrice in the past year they have messed up the availability of the tool, by moving it, or moving it’s dependencies. The fact that it’s broken then takes a few days to get from the users to my client and back to me. I then email Imageleet and they always fix it within a couple of hours. But by that time the website has been broken for days, and this keeps happening. It causes distress and unhappiness for my client.

Is this the sort of service normal with an ffmpeg host? Or would it be reasonable to expect the tool to be permanently available, without ongoing correspondence with the host’s tech support every time they accidentally break it?

And if the latter, how can I find a host company which is capable of providing the ffmpeg and Imagemagick tools reliably?

Many thanks if anyone can help.
