I am going to build a website. It will be sort of a hub site that redirects people to federal, state, local and community agencies involved with salmon habitat restoration throughout the northwest and including Alaska and California..
It will contain a ton of links.
The traffic will be generated mostly outside of the internet. People who come to the site will be looking for assistance, projects, and specifically volunteer opportunities within their local communities.

This site is not about making money or taking donations. I do not want any advertisements. I am retired and so I have a lot of time to do this.

There will be a number (dozens) of short screen capture video’s to help people navigate other websites to find the info and contacts they are looking for.

I will also need forums with some threads password accessible only. And of course a blog so I cam complain.

Here is the rub. I am about as new to this as they come. I read a little bit here and will registar my domain name thru namecheap. I have no idea who to use for a host. I need one that includes dummy proof web design software.
I thought I would use ipage but after reading here, I am not so sure.
I really need some reccomendations as to web hosts that includes everything I might need.
