Looking for host for my personal / hobby sites

Big on Hosting. Unlimited Space & Unlimited Bandwidth
HI

I’ve been using a managed server on LiquidWeb and have been very happy with them. We are selling off our main business (the one that required the LiquidWeb server) and will just need hosting for a few personal and hobby sites.

I’ve not used a cheaper / lower end host in years now because I’ve had a business need for higher end hosting. For my personal / hobby hosting, I obviously can’t be paying managed hosting prices.

This is what I currently have I need hosting for:

6 wordpress sites
15GB disk space

(I do also host a friends site that uses an additional 20GB of disk space; but I could have that friend host elsewhere if need be — My friends site also has a private chatroom that is run via a php script, but not terribly high load, it does have a fair amount of connections, so it uses some CPU time, I’m assuming this won’t be able to be used on a shared server or would only be able to be used with a few people in the chat room).

No automation scripts / scraping or anything like that. Only plugin that runs automatically is database backups. WordPress sites each have around 10 plugins.

Bandwidth use is around 20GB a month most of the time, with the friends site it could spike up to as high as 50 to 75GB at times.

My biggest concern is that I would really like to have a higher php memory / upload limit. One of my sites I accept picture submissions from people via a form and it is really helpful to be able to have that accept 25MB uploads.

One option is to use Linode, I’ve used them in the past and they are great. Managing a VPS does require some extra time on my part and if a regular hosting account would work just as well for my needs and possibly be cheaper, I’d rather do that. (plus if I host the site for my friend, having cpanel is really a nice bonus for them)

Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.

Jamie
