Most optimal way to transfer ~ 2000 accounts

Big on Hosting. Unlimited Space & Unlimited Bandwidth

Hi WHT!

We’re currently a small hosting company (around 90 customers (110 hosting packages)), and we’ve got this awesome offer to ‘buy’ a web-hosting company.

We’re a high performance web-hosting, this means we store a maximum of 60 accounts on each server (32 gigs of memory, 8 cores etc.)

The company we maybe want to buy, is a low-cost company (non-high performance), and have around 2000 accounts.
This is currently running on 2 dedicated servers, one with 20 gigs of memory, and 6 cores, and one server with 28 gigs of memory and 12 cores.

Since we don’t want to use their current provider, we need to transfer around 2000 accounts (We’re talking around 400 gigabyte of data).

My question is, is there any way that is more optimal than using the cpanel multi-account transfer?

If not, any that have some tips, for doing this rather big migration.

We’ve done a lot of web-site migrations in the past, causing no downtime at all, but using the same method for 2000 accounts is too much, so any that have experience with migrating large amount of accounts, that have some good tips, both in terms of minimizing downtime, speeding up the process, etc.

Additional information:
– Current servers is located in UK and new servers will be in Amsterdam
– They run 2x dedicated servers, and 2x VPS for DNS
– They run MySQL locally on the servers
