Recent experience with Hostwire

Big on Hosting. Unlimited Space & Unlimited Bandwidth

I WAS with Startlogic for a very long time. Primarily a long time as i didn’t want the hassle of changing hosts. I’m not going to bother to go into details but overall i never was really happy with their services but so long as it was meeting my needs I stuck with them.

That changed recently when I was maxing out their huge 10 my concurrent sql database connections. What really annoyed me is they only solution they offered was to go VPS, which was overkill for my needs.. I have a lot of stuff hitting the database, not a lot of traffic or users.

That’s when I found Hostwire.. Wow, love them! Heres what they did for me..

I contacted them about my concerns moving from one host to another and worried about glitches. They went WAY above and beyond for me.

After I signed up, they went out, they moved all my databases for me and my files. Doesnt stop there though..

I did move my domain to namescheap which took some time, once that finished I was having issues with some of my stuff not working properly. These where mainly glitches with things like Gallery, phpbb, and WordPress. They spent a lot of time investigating each one, and helping me identify why the move had caused it to act up even though I took care of the config files and database access properly.

Startlogic? They would have never spent more then 2 minutes on that stuff. Would have been “sorry, that’s a user application, not our problem”. Which I agree with.. but when moving from one host to another, im not experienced and so some typical things could really trow me off. Hostwire went above in beyond in taking care of every one of them and helping me identify what the problem was.

The service is fantastic in every way, what im getting in the package is great, and 500 concurrent mysql database connections.. all at a similar cost? Win.

Cant recommend them highly enough. Friendly, FAST (every time i have emailed them.. its like BAM taken care of), more perks for my cost, and a more then fair price tag!
