Replacing Fluid Hosting with different shared hosting site?

Big on Hosting. Unlimited Space & Unlimited Bandwidth

I have been a satisfied customer of Fluid Hosting for several years, paying $5/mo for shared hosting (I have a grandfathered-in plan from when they bought Steadfast Hosting). However, I keep bumping into my disk space limit of 500 MB. To get more disk space (15 GB) I would need to go to their “Economy Plan” at $15/mo (since I have more than 2 domains). See:

I see that there are plenty of companies where I can get a good plan for $5-8/mo. Two I am considering are StableHost and BigScoots (any recommendation of one over the other?). When I ask Fluid Hosting why I should stay with them, they tell me how much better they are than cheaper sites. I do not have enough knowledge to judge that, which is why I am posting here.

Looking at the link I posted above, would I lose anything by going to one of the cheaper sites?

My sites are personal sites, plus a couple of small organizations I am in. No e-commerce. Very low bandwidth.
