Review: Host4geeks.com

Big on Hosting. Unlimited Space & Unlimited Bandwidth

I’m actually not someone to really do this to anyone or any company but I feel it’s so important to share with others this story. I would hate for someone else to suffer the way I have with this company.

I have been with Host4geeks for a number of months and never had a problem until last evening when I requested a very minor change that I was unable to fix on my own because I had forgotten how and assumed they could fix it quicker than I could myself.

Instead of fixing this minor issue, they turned it into a big one that ended up DELETING the whole website from the server. The said website was my non profit website that I’ve had for 4 years. Needless to say I was in tears and nearly crazy with worry because of this HUGE issue.

This after noon the problem was finally fixed. The company never really apologized for their mistake and instead decided to close my accounts because I discussed consulting a lawyer about this problem they caused. They never returned my phone calls or anything. It was like the previous customer service that I loved so much disappeared at the same time as my website.

Of course I am moving to another hosting. For the time period it will be Hostgator because I trust them and their services in the short term. Plus they are super quick with the transferring and restoring of all my websites. This will be until I either build a server in my home or find a good semi dedicated server service.

I would hate for anyone to suffer this kind of heartache, pain and stress. I would be very cautious with this company from now on. Any company that can not apologize directly for their mistake is just plan wrong and depressing. They were great before but once they are the one that causes the mistake, their greatness is gone.

I have learned a lot from this whole thing and knowledge is power. I do hope this review comes off in the professional tone I aimed for. I do not aim to make this company look bad but to state a true fact and to share my story.

Host4geeks.com was a great host until last evening when they actually killed my hard work and never once provided a formal apology for it. It saddings more more than ever to have this issue happen but I know everything happens for a reason.

Thanks for you time.
