Roundcube marks emails opened with an iphone as Read

Hi all,

Just like the title says. I’m not the only one with this issue, I’ve seen a handful of discussions on this but no real resolution.

The issue more in detail:

I have a client that used to be with GoDaddy and was using their webmail (Workspace). When the client would check his emails from his iPhone, then would go in the office and check Workspace, emails were not marked as Read. He could then just sort by “Unread” and be on his way.

Migrated him over to RoundCube and I cannot for the life of me, figure out what’s causing this. Someone mentioned to put him on IMAP or back to POP, same thing happened, the emails are marked Read.

I checked Roundcube’s settings, there’s nothing about something like this. Same thing with the iPhone’s settings, even in advanced.


I’m tempted to perform a test today on my Android to try and narrow it down even further…
